Use for dip, dressing and/or all-purpose seasoning.
For Dressing Mix
Makes 1 pint (16oz) jar
- 1/2 cup granulated garlic
- 1/2 cup granulated onion
- 3/4 cup dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon MSG
- 1 tablespoon dried dill
- 2 teaspoons dried Herbs de Province*
*Use whatever green herbs you like. Marjoram and tarragon are nice, any green herb blend is fine.
- Put it all in a 16oz jar.
- Put a lid on it.
- Roll and shake until everything is mixed well.
- It keeps until it doesn’t smell like ranch anymore.
To make dressing
In a 16oz jar with a lid, add the following:
- 2 level tablespoons ranch mix
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- Shake the shit out of it until blended.
- Let it sit for 20 minutes or more for best flavor. Gotta let the spices hydrate.
notes: 1 cup milk and a tsp of vinegar will imitate buttermilk but it won’t be as good. Use half mayo and half yogurt if you want to trim a few calories.
For Dip
Add 2 level tablespoons to 16 oz of any these, mix and match as desired:
Mayo
Sour cream
Whole milk plain yogurt
Cream Cheese
