These syrups can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. It all depends on what you mix them with.
Simple Syrup and Spritzers
Simple Syrup:
1 C white sugar
1 C water
Dissolve sugar in the water in a sauce pan. Bring to a
boil, stirring frequently.
To flavor the syrup, add 4 tea bags or 2 TBS loose leaf
tea to the boiling syrup. I like Earl Grey or Stash Lemon Ginger, but you can
use any flavor you like.
Cover, remove from heat and allow to sit until the syrup
is cool. Remove the teabags or strain the syrup to remove the loose tea. Pour into bottles or jars, cover and store in
the fridge. It should keep for a few weeks at least.
Spritzers:
In a glass, add some ice
Add 1-2 TBS syrup to a glass (more or less to taste)
Add 4 OZ of fizzy (champagne, club soda, etc)
Stir and enjoy!
